 Non-systemically acting XENICAL is a GI lipase inhibitor. XENICAL is indicated for obesity management, including weight loss and weight maintenance, when used in conjunction with a reduced-calorie diet, and for reduction of the risk of weight regain after prior weight loss in patients with body mass index (BMI) of >30 kg/m2 or >27 kg/m2 in the presence of other risk factors, such as type 2 diabetes, hypertension and dyslipidemia.
